This calculator uses the standard veterinary resting energy formula (70 × bodyweight in kg^0.75) scaled by activity level, then converts that to grams using your food's energy density from the packaging label. A 10kg moderately active dog eating a 350kcal/100g food needs roughly 180g a day.
