Privacy Policy

BoringTools is built so that your calculations never need to leave your browser. This page explains what that means in practice.

What we don’t collect

• We don’t require an account, login or email address to use any calculator.
• We don’t send the numbers you enter — salaries, dates, leave balances or anything else — to a server. All calculations run client-side, in your browser.
• We don’t store or transmit sensitive personal information.

What we do store locally

Your theme preference (light or dark) is saved in your browser’s local storage so it persists between visits. This stays on your device and isn’t sent anywhere.

Shareable links

Some calculators put the values you enter into the page URL (for example, an amount or a state) so you can copy and share a link with the result pre-filled. Avoid sharing links that include information you’d consider sensitive, since anyone with the link can see those values.

Analytics

We may in future use privacy-conscious analytics to understand which calculators are useful, using only generic interaction events (like which calculator was viewed) — never the values you enter.

Cookies

No cookies are required for core calculator functionality.
