Currency Converter
Convert between currencies using up-to-date exchange rates, with popular AUD pairs front and centre.
How it works
Exchange rates are fetched against a single base currency (Australian dollars), where each rate is how many units of another currency equal one AUD. Converting between any two currencies — even two that aren’t AUD — works by converting through that shared base: divide by the source currency’s rate to get an AUD amount, then multiply by the target currency’s rate.
Converted Amount = Amount ÷ Rate(From) × Rate(To)
Frequently asked questions
Rates refresh roughly every hour from the Frankfurter API, which publishes European Central Bank reference rates on business days. That's current enough for everyday conversions, but not intended for time-sensitive trading decisions.
