How it works
In date-range mode the calculator counts the calendar days from your start to end date, then subtracts the weekends and statewide public holidays that fall inside the period, using a standard Monday-to-Friday working week. In optimiser mode it searches around each public holiday for windows where a small number of leave days bridges a weekend or holiday into a longer break.
Frequently asked questions
It looks for windows around each public holiday where taking a small number of leave days bridges a weekend or holiday into a longer break, then ranks them by efficiency — total days off ÷ leave days used. It won't suggest spending all your leave in one giant block just to maximise total days off.
